Hermetic VGA for signal chains that need to stay alive
The AD75068AJ is a Variable Gain Amplifier from Analog Devices, classified as an instrumentation amplifier, in a 44-CLCC (J-Lead) hermetic ceramic package. The 44-JLCC footprint (16.39x16.39 mm supplier device package) is a standard ceramic LCC land pattern — no exotic pad geometry, but the J-leads need a hot-air rework profile, not a standard reflow oven, if you ever need to remove it.
RoHS non-compliant — plan your BOM compliance
That means the leads and internal solder joints contain lead — not an issue for military, aerospace, or industrial exempt applications, but a hard stop for any build that must pass EU RoHS or similar restricted-substance regulations.
Sourcing and storage — the storeroom view
That's a relief for the storeroom: no bake-before-reflow requirement, no dry-pack floor-life clock. Store the trays in a clean, dry cabinet and it will sit on the shelf for years without degradation. The hermetic package also means no popcorn cracking risk during rework.
