12-bit SAR ADC in a SOT-23-8 package
The AD7457BRTZ-REEL7 from Analog Devices is a 12-bit successive-approximation-register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter that samples at 100k samples per second. It accepts a single pseudo-differential input and communicates over an SPI or DSP-compatible serial interface. The part operates from a single 2.7 V to 5.25 V supply and is housed in an 8-lead SOT-23-8 package, making it a fit for space-constrained, low-power instrumentation, data acquisition, and industrial control applications where 12-bit resolution at moderate speed is sufficient.
Sourcing and lifecycle
For dual-sourcing or a higher-resolution alternative, the AD7683ACPZRL7 (16-bit, same pin-compatible footprint and serial interface) is a functional second source if your system can use the extra two bits at the same 100k sample rate.
