22.22 kS/s throughput with I²C interface
The AD7291BCPZ: The 22.22 kS/s aggregate rate is shared across all eight channels — scanning all inputs yields roughly 2.78 kS/s per channel. The I²C data interface keeps the pin count low, suiting space-constrained designs where a parallel bus would consume too many GPIOs. The on-chip temperature sensor provides a local die-temperature readback, useful for thermal monitoring in systems where the ADC is placed near heat-generating components. The selectable address allows up to four devices on the same I²C bus. Reference can be either external or internal, giving the designer flexibility to match the ADC's full-scale range to the sensor output swing without an external reference IC.
20-lead LFCSP package and RoHS3 compliance
Housed in a 20-lead LFCSP (4x4 mm) with exposed pad, the package is suited for dense PCB layouts. RoHS3 compliant with no exemptions.
