12-bit current-output DAC in 8-MSOP
The AD5452YRMZ is a 12-bit multiplying DAC with a current-unbuffered output, built on an R-2R ladder architecture. It converts a digital word into an analog current proportional to the external reference voltage, making it suitable for programmable gain amplifiers, waveform generation, and digitally controlled calibration loops. Settling time is 110 ns to ±0.5 LSB, which sets the update rate ceiling for the control loop or signal path. The SPI and DSP-compatible serial interface keeps the pin count low — only three wires (SCLK, SDIN, SYNC) plus the output and reference.
Linearity and supply range
Integral nonlinearity is ±0.5 LSB max, differential nonlinearity ±1 LSB max — the monotonicity guarantee holds across the full temperature range. For a 12-bit system, this keeps the transfer curve within a half-LSB of ideal, which matters for precision trimming or closed-loop set-point control.
Temperature grade and package
The lead finish is ROHS3 compliant, with no restricted substances above the exemption thresholds.
ROHS3 compliance is confirmed. Sourced through independent distribution channels. Pricing and lead time are confirmed at quote against the BOM quantity.
