10-bit current-output DAC with 110 ns settling
The AD5451YUJZ-REEL7 is a 10-bit multiplying DAC with a current-unbuffered R-2R output stage, settling to within ±0.5 LSB in 110 ns — fast enough for waveform reconstruction in the low-MHz range or for closed-loop setpoint updates in a servo loop. The R-2R ladder architecture means the output current scales linearly with the external reference voltage, making it a true multiplying DAC — the reference can be an AC signal, not just a DC rail.
Single-supply mixed-signal integration
The SPI/DSP-compatible serial interface uses a standard 3-wire protocol (SCLK, SDIN, SYNC) that ties directly to most MCU SPI peripherals or a DSP synchronous serial port. No differential output — the single-ended current output (IOUT) is typically fed into an external op-amp I-V converter; the feedback resistor is on-chip to match the R-2R temperature coefficient.
TSOT-23-8 package and temperature range
Housed in a thin SOT-23-8 (TSOT-23-8) package, the AD5451YUJZ-REEL7 occupies about 9 mm² of board area — fits into space-constrained portable or industrial modules.
Sourcing and compliance status
ROHS3 compliant per the manufacturer's declaration, with no exemptions that would trigger a PCN for material change. Available in Tape & Reel (TR) for volume pick-and-place or Cut Tape (CT) for prototype and low-quantity builds — the same die in either option.
