Programmable over-temperature monitor for board-level thermal protection
The AD22105ARZ-REEL7 is a single-chip thermostat from Analog Devices that asserts an Active High open-collector output when the die temperature exceeds a user-set trip point. The trip threshold is programmed with an external resistor, giving the board designer a single BOM line to cover multiple thermal trip levels across different PCB zones. The output sinks up to 10 mA — enough to drive a logic input, an LED indicator, or a small relay coil through a buffer. Quiescent current is 100 µA typical, negligible in a system that already draws tens of milliamps.
Package variant and lifecycle status
Surface-mount assembly in an 8-lead SOIC footprint; the reel quantity suits automated pick-and-place lines.
