Active production — 1500W Zener TVS for 342V rails
The 1.5SMC400A/TR13: With a 342V reverse standoff voltage and a 548V clamping maximum at 2.8A peak pulse current, this part clamps transients on 300V to 342V DC rails — common in three-phase rectified industrial supplies, solar inverters, and motor drive DC buses.
Clamping voltage and pulse current — what they mean for the BOM
If the protected device's abs-max rating is below 548V, the TVS alone may not provide adequate margin — a series resistor or upstream fuse may be needed. The 1500W peak pulse power rating is the product of clamp voltage and pulse current at the test waveform. For shorter pulses (8/20µs) the peak power capability is higher; for longer transients the derating curve in the datasheet applies. Operating temperature range of -55°C to 150°C allows deployment in outdoor telecom cabinets, engine compartments, and industrial enclosures without derating at the hot end — the junction temperature ceiling is 150°C.
DO-214AB SMC footprint and supply posture
Surface mount in a DO-214AB (SMC) package — the same footprint as standard SMC diodes. The copper pad area under the cathode tab sets the thermal resistance; a larger pad lowers the junction temperature rise for repetitive surges.
