TVS diode for 64 V rail protection
The 1.5KE75A/B: With a peak pulse power rating of 1500 W (10/1000 µs waveform), it absorbs surge energy from inductive load switching or lightning-induced spikes without failing short. This gives a 39 V clamping window from standoff to full clamp — enough margin for a 48 V battery bus or a 60 V telecom rail that sees occasional 80 V transients.
Package and board integration
Housed in a DO-201AA / DO-27 axial leaded package (supplier device package DO-201), the 1.5KE75A/B mounts through-hole on the PCB. The axial form factor is preferred for point-to-point wiring or where the board must handle repetitive surge current without lifting a surface-mount pad. No power line protection feature is built in — this is a pure transient suppressor, not a crowbar or filter.
