Breakdown and clamping thresholds
The 1.5KE120A/B: The reverse standoff voltage is 102 V, meaning the diode draws negligible leakage current below this level. Breakdown occurs between 114 V minimum and the specified tolerance, after which the device clamps the transient at 165 V maximum across the 9.2 A peak pulse current. The 1.5 kW rating is tested with a 10/1000 µs exponential waveform — the standard pulse for TVS diode surge characterization per IEC 61000-4-5.
DO-201 axial-lead package and temperature range
Housed in a DO-201AA / DO-27 axial-lead package (supplier device package DO-201), it mounts through-hole on a PCB. The junction operates from -55 °C to 150 °C, covering industrial equipment and some underhood automotive environments. The base product number is 1.5KE120, supplied in box packaging. The unidirectional configuration (one channel) protects a single rail per device.
