Rectifier ratings that govern the BOM line
The W06G-E4/51: The Vishay W06G-/51 is a single-phase bridge rectifier rated for 1.5 A average rectified output current and 600 V peak repetitive reverse voltage — the two numbers that decide whether it handles your DC bus load and withstands the AC mains peaks without avalanche failure. Housed in a 4-Circular WOG through-hole package, it suits point-to-point wiring or PCB mounting in low-power AC-to-DC converters, battery chargers, and small motor drives where a compact footprint and reliable isolation matter.
Thermal and conduction profile
Forward voltage drop is 1 V maximum at 1 A — at the full 1.5 A rating the conduction loss is roughly 1.5 W, which the WOG package dissipates into still air or a small heatsink depending on ambient. Reverse leakage is 5 µA at the 600 V blocking voltage — low enough that standby power in a continuously-connected supply stays negligible.
