Package and board-fit for the VOS615A-3X001T
This is a surface-mount footprint that matches standard SOIC-4 land patterns, so no custom pad geometry is needed for the board layout.
Isolation and signal transfer — what the ratings mean
Rated for 3750 Vrms isolation, this optocoupler provides galvanic separation between the DC input and the transistor output — enough for basic functional isolation in industrial control and power-supply feedback loops where you need to break ground loops or shift voltage domains. The current transfer ratio (CTR) is specified at 100% minimum and 200% maximum when the forward current is 10 mA. Switching is moderate: typical turn-on and turn-off times are 5 µs each, with rise and fall times of 3 µs and 4 µs respectively. That puts the usable data rate around 100 kbit/s — fine for status feedback, relay driving, or slow serial links, but not for high-speed communication.
Temperature range and output drive capability
Operating temperature spans -55°C to 110°C, covering the full industrial range and the lower end of automotive under-hood environments. The output side can handle up to 80 V and 50 mA per channel, so it drives small relays, logic inputs, or optocoupler-isolated transistor arrays directly.
It is ROHS3 compliant.
