3750Vrms isolation and CTR range — what drives the fit
The VOM617A-8X001T is a single-channel transistor-output optocoupler from Vishay, in a 4-SOP package. It provides 3750Vrms isolation between the DC input and the transistor output, with a current transfer ratio (CTR) specified at 130% minimum and 260% maximum when the forward current is 5mA. That CTR range tells you the output transistor can sink 50mA continuously (the per-channel rating), and the Vce saturation is held to 400mV max — so the part can drive a logic input or a low-current relay directly without an extra buffer stage.
Temperature grade and switching speed
Operating temperature spans -55°C to 110°C. The typical rise and fall times are both 3µs, with turn-on time of 6µs and turn-off of 4µs. The 80V output breakdown gives ample headroom for 24V or 48V bus interfaces.
