Isolation barrier and output ratings for BOM fit
The VO615A-X017T provides 5000 Vrms isolation between input and output — a reinforced-grade rating suitable for mains-isolated feedback, PLC digital inputs, and motor-drive interface circuits where the working voltage demands a 5 kV barrier test. Output is a single phototransistor rated for 70 V collector-emitter and 50 mA continuous current, with a saturation voltage of 300 mV typical at rated drive — enough margin for 24 V logic rails and low-side switching up to 48 V. The current transfer ratio spans 50% to 600% at a forward current of 5 mA, giving the designer a wide loop-gain window to set the LED drive resistor without overdriving the input diode (60 mA absolute max).
Switching speed and temperature range
Typical turn-on time is 6 µs and turn-off is 5 µs, with rise/fall of 3 µs and 4.7 µs respectively — fast enough for 10–20 kHz PWM feedback or low-speed serial isolation, but not for high-speed data links.
