10 A Schottky with a 570 mV forward drop — the conduction loss ceiling
The Vishay V10P45HM3_A/H is a 45 V, 10 A Schottky rectifier in the TO-277A (SMPC) PowerDFN package, part of the TMBS® (Trench MOS Barrier Schottky) series. It carries AEC-Q101 automotive qualification and is ROHS3 compliant, making it a direct fit for under-hood DC-DC converters, alternator rectifiers, and reverse-battery protection stages where the junction sees up to 150°C. At 10 A forward current the typical forward voltage is 570 mV. The 45 V reverse rating gives headroom for automotive rails, but the 800 µA reverse leakage at rated Vr needs to be factored into the heatsink design.
TO-277A footprint — thermal and mechanical fit
The TO-277A (SMPC) is a 3-lead PowerDFN with an exposed cathode tab. The package is rated for surface-mount reflow. The -40°C to 150°C junction temperature range covers cold crank and hot soak in automotive environments. The 150°C ceiling is the absolute limit — the 800 µA reverse leakage at 45 V doubles roughly every 10°C above 25°C, so a 125°C junction sees leakage current that can push the die temperature higher still.
