The Vishay TCDT1103 is a single-channel optocoupler in a 6-DIP through-hole package, delivering 5000 Vrms galvanic isolation between a DC input LED and a phototransistor output. Rated for continuous operation from -55 °C to +110 °C, it suits industrial control and power-supply feedback loops where the ambient temperature stays well above commercial-grade limits.

CTR and output drive — what the numbers mean for your BOM

The output transistor can sink up to 50 mA continuous and block up to 32 V, so it drives a standard 5 V or 24 V logic input directly through a collector resistor without a buffer stage. Switching is not fast — typical turn-on is 11 µs and turn-off is 7 µs, with rise and fall times of 7 µs and 6.7 µs respectively — so this part is intended for DC-level signalling and low-frequency status feedback, not high-speed data links.
