The switch is controlled by a simple On/Off interface with non-inverting input logic, and requires no external Vcc/Vdd supply — the gate drive is derived from the load rail itself, simplifying the BOM for battery-powered or single-rail designs.
Slew-rate control and reverse-current protection
Slew-rate controlled turn-on limits inrush current into capacitive loads, reducing supply droop and EMI during power-up — useful when switching a downstream regulator or a bank of decoupling capacitors that present a low impedance at start.
