2 A step-down with a 60 V input ceiling
The SIC464ED-T1-GE3 is a Vishay microBUCK synchronous buck regulator delivering 2 A continuous output from a 4.5 V to 60 V input rail. The output is adjustable from 0.8 V up to 55.2 V, covering common intermediate bus and point-of-load voltages in industrial and automotive battery-fed systems.
Switching frequency and thermal envelope
The switching frequency is programmable from 100 kHz to 2 MHz via an external resistor — the lower end suits noise-sensitive analog loads, while the upper end shrinks the inductor footprint. The -40°C to +125°C junction temperature rating means the part can run in an engine bay or a hot enclosure without derating the output current below 2 A, provided the board thermal design keeps the junction inside that window. Synchronous rectification is built in, so no external Schottky catch diode is needed — the low-side FET replaces it, which improves efficiency at light loads and reduces the BOM count by one component.
The datasheet's recommended land pattern and thermal-via array are the starting point — the junction-to-board thermal resistance is dominated by that pad area, not the ambient air.
Active production and compliance
The part is available for new designs and production builds.
