What this dual-channel optocoupler does in the isolation barrier
The SFH6325-X017T is a two-channel optocoupler from Vishay with a transistor output, built for galvanic isolation up to 5300Vrms. It takes a DC input on the LED side and switches a phototransistor on the output side, giving you a clean isolated signal path. The 8-SMD gull-wing package sits flat on the board — no through-hole, so it suits automated assembly lines.
Turn-on time is 300ns typical, turn-off is 600ns typical.
Rated from -55°C to 100°C operating, so it handles military-temperature gear, outdoor telecom cabinets, and industrial motor drives without derating. The 5300Vrms isolation also gives you headroom for reinforced insulation in mains-connected equipment.
