The PB5010-E3/45: The PB5010-/45 is a single-phase bridge rectifier from Vishay's isoCink+™ series, rated for 1 kV peak reverse voltage and 4.5 A average rectified output. That 1 kV PRV means it comfortably handles the rectified DC bus in a 230 VAC offline supply, including the peak of a 10 % line swell — roughly 360 VDC — with nearly 3× margin. The 4.5 A average is the continuous DC the bridge can deliver into a resistive or capacitive load with adequate heatsinking; the actual current a design can pull depends on the thermal path from the isoCINK+™ PB package to the board or chassis. The forward drop is specified at 1.1 V max at 22.5 A — that is the surge or inrush condition, not the 4.5 A average. At the average current the Vf will be lower, but the 1.1 V figure tells you the conduction loss under a cold-start capacitor charge event. Reverse leakage is 10 µA at the full 1000 V blocking voltage; this off-state current doubles roughly every 10 °C junction rise, so at 125 °C the leakage contribution to the thermal budget becomes material.
Through-hole SIP package — board integration and thermal routing
The PB5010-/45 comes in a 4-SIP through-hole package designated isoCINK+™ PB. The four leads are the AC input pair and the DC output pair — no centre-tap. The SIP format stands upright, so the board footprint is narrow, but the body height above the PCB means the part blocks airflow over adjacent components in a dense layout. The package is rated for through-hole soldering — wave or selective solder. The isoCink+™ series uses an internal metallurgical junction that Vishay claims reduces thermal resistance compared to a standard solder-joint bridge — the practical benefit is slightly lower die temperature for the same load, which extends the safe operating area at elevated ambient.

The PB5010-/45 carries an Active lifecycle status — no NRND, no last-time-buy, no EOL notice on file. This is a standard catalog part from Vishay, so it is still a valid BOM line for new builds and field replacements.
