A design that must work across the full CTR binning range should budget for the minimum, which sets the pull-up resistor and logic-threshold margin. Switching speed and isolation — 3 µs and 4000Vrms
Typical turn-on and turn-off times are both 3 µs. That limits this part to applications where the signal rate is below roughly 100 kHz — fine for 50/60 Hz line isolation, DC sensing, or slow digital status signals. The 4000Vrms isolation rating supports reinforced insulation requirements in many industrial and medical power-supply designs. If you need faster switching (sub-microsecond), look at digital isolators or optocouplers with logic outputs; if you just need to pass a relay-contact status or a temperature-sensor pulse, the IL206AT is a clean fit.
