The GSIB2560-E3/45: The GSIB2560-/45 is a compact single-phase bridge rectifier rated for 3.5 A average rectified output (Io) and 600 V peak reverse voltage per diode. That 600 V peak reverse rating covers the rectified DC bus in a 240 VAC offline supply with margin — the peak of a 240 VAC sine wave is 339 V, so the 600 V rating gives about 260 V of headroom for mains transients. The 3.5 A average is the continuous DC output the bridge can deliver in free-air convection at 25°C ambient; derate if the board runs hot or airflow is restricted. Forward voltage is specified at 1 V max at 12.5 A — that 12.5 A figure is the peak surge current, not the continuous rating. The bridge can handle a one-cycle surge (8.3 ms) at that level, useful for capacitor inrush on power-up. Reverse leakage is 10 µA at the 600 V blocking voltage, low enough to avoid thermal runaway in a lightly loaded supply.

Package and board-fit — GSIB-5S through-hole SIP

The GSIB-5S is a 4-pin single-in-line package with the four diode junctions inside a molded SIP body. Through-hole mounting means it stands off the board — the leads go through plated holes and are soldered on the bottom side. The 5.08 mm pitch between pins matches standard perfboard or a custom PCB layout. The package body is about 29 mm long and 6 mm wide, compact enough for a 25 W to 40 W offline power supply on a 50 mm × 30 mm board. Storage temperature range is wider; the part can sit on a reel or tube at -55°C to +150°C without damage.
