Product details

2 A continuous rating and 400 V peak — what they mean for the BOM

The 2W04G-E4/51: The 2 A average rectified current (Io) is the continuous DC load the bridge can deliver into a resistive or capacitive filter. For a 240 VAC mains-fed supply, the 400 V peak reverse voltage (Vrrm) gives a 1.4× safety margin above the rectified peak of 339 V — the standard derating rule for single-phase bridges. The 1.1 V forward drop at 2 A (Vf) sets the conduction loss at 2.2 W. The WOG through-hole package dissipates this into the board copper and ambient air; a 50°C ambient rise is manageable without a heatsink in most low-power PSU designs.

Active lifecycle and compliance documentation

The 5 µA reverse leakage at 400 V is specified at 25°C; the leakage doubles approximately every 10°C, so a 125°C junction sees roughly 80 µA — still within the bridge's safe operating area.

The 4-Circular, WOG package is a through-hole, round-lead frame with a 2.54 mm (0.1-inch) pin circle — the same footprint as the industry-standard 2A bridge rectifier. For low-volume production or repair, this avoids the minimum reel quantity constraint.
