Product details

1500W bidirectional TVS in DO-214AB — AEC-Q101 qualified

The Vishay 1.5SMC47CAHE3/57T is a bidirectional Zener-type TVS diode from the 1.5SMC series, built on the TransZorb® platform. AEC-Q101 qualification means this part is screened for automotive-grade reliability — temperature cycle, high-temperature reverse bias, and ESD robustness per the automotive stress tests.

Clamping performance and pulse current

The corresponding peak pulse current (Ipp) at 10/1000 µs is 23.1 A, so the TVS absorbs 1500 W without exceeding the junction temperature limit. Because the part is bidirectional, it clamps both positive and negative transients symmetrically — useful on AC lines or data lines that swing above and below ground. The 40.2 V standoff means normal DC or signal voltage up to that level passes unclamped; the TVS only activates when the transient pushes past the breakdown threshold.

Supplied in Tape & Reel for automated pick-and-place. No power line protection — this part is designed for signal or low-voltage power rail clamping, not for direct AC mains protection.
