1500 W clamping margin in a DO-214AB footprint
The 1.5SMC39A-E3/57T: DO-214AB (SMC) footprint — the same land pattern as the SMCJ package series — so it drops onto existing copper pads without a board layout change.
Clamping voltage and breakdown margin
The 37.1 V minimum breakdown (at 1 mA test current) to 53.9 V maximum clamp gives a 1.45× clamping factor — tight enough that a 40 V-rated downstream FET or controller survives the clamped pulse without avalanche stress. Unidirectional single-channel design (one channel) — the Zener anode is tied to ground, so the device clamps positive transients only; a bidirectional variant would need a different order code.
Lifecycle status is Active — Vishay continues to manufacture the 1.5SMC39A-/57T with no announced end-of-life.
