1500W bidirectional clamp for a 28.2V rail
The 1.5SMC33CAHM3/H: It clamps a 28.2V nominal rail at 45.7V maximum when the surge current hits 32.8A — the clamping voltage is what the downstream IC sees, so a 45.7V clamp means the protected device must survive that peak without latch-up or oxide rupture. Packaged in a DO-214AB (SMC) surface-mount case, it handles the 1500W pulse without exceeding the 150°C junction temperature limit.
The TransZorb® die construction delivers the 1500W peak pulse with a low dynamic impedance, so the clamping voltage stays tight across the temperature sweep.
