The 1.5SMC24CAHE3/57T: Breakdown occurs at a minimum of 22.8V, and the clamping voltage is limited to 33.2V at the rated peak pulse current — this gives a 12.7V clamp window above the 20.5V rail, important for protecting downstream electronics on a 24V battery system during load-dump or alternator field decay.
