Active AEC-Q101 TVS for 145V rails
The Vishay 1.5SMC170CAHM3/H is an active-production bidirectional TVS diode from the 1.5SMC TransZorb® series, qualified to AEC-Q101 for automotive stress reliability.
Housed in the DO-214AB (SMC) package, the part is surface-mount and hand-solderable with a standard hot-air rework station — the large tab on the cathode side provides a thermal path for pulse energy. The operating junction temperature range spans -65°C to 150°C, covering under-hood and outdoor telecom cabinet environments. Being a single bidirectional channel, it replaces two series unidirectional TVS diodes in a back-to-back configuration, saving board space and reducing BOM count for AC signal lines or bipolar supplies.
