1500W surge clamp for 136V rails
The 1.5SMC160CA-E3/57T: It clamps a 136V reverse standoff rail at 219V maximum, passing 6.8A peak pulse current before the silicon junction absorbs the transient. Bidirectional construction means a single device protects both polarities on a signal or power line — useful for AC-coupled data lines, DC bus rails subject to reverse surges, or anywhere the polarity of the transient is unknown. The 152V minimum breakdown voltage gives a 16V margin above the standoff before the diode starts conducting leakage.
DO-214AB SMC package — rework and board fit
Operating temperature spans -65°C to 150°C junction, covering cold-crank automotive, industrial enclosure heat soak, and outdoor telecom cabinets without derating. The wide range means the leakage current at high temperature is the main design consideration — expect higher standby draw at 125°C+ than the 25°C datasheet typical.
