1500 W surge rating and the operating window
The 1.5SMC130CAHM3/H: For a 111 V nominal rail, the device stays transparent until the transient exceeds the breakdown threshold, then clamps the surge below 180 V — well within the typical 200 V abs-max rating of downstream DC-DC converters and load switches.
AEC-Q101 trace and package footprint
Qualified to AEC-Q101, the automotive discrete semiconductor stress qualification. This covers temperature cycling, high-temperature reverse bias, and humidity bias testing — the -65°C to +150°C junction temperature range matches the under-hood and engine-bay thermal profile. The single bidirectional channel means one DO-214AB (SMC) device protects both positive and negative transients on the same line, saving PCB area compared to two unidirectional diodes back-to-back. The DO-214AB (SMC) package is a standard surface-mount footprint shared across the 1.5SMC family. The cathode band marking identifies the bidirectional orientation — the device is symmetric, so polarity is not critical during pick-and-place. Tape-and-reel packaging supports high-volume assembly; the reel quantity is confirmed at RFQ.
