The DO-214AB (SMC) package is a standard surface-mount footprint with a large copper pad on the cathode side for heat sinking during the pulse. The part is unidirectional — one channel, cathode marked by the band — so the polarity matters on the PCB layout: the cathode connects to the protected rail, the anode to ground. Supplied in Tape & Reel, it feeds through a standard 12 mm or 16 mm pocket pitch on the pick-and-place feeder. No special MSL handling beyond the standard JEDEC bake requirement for a plastic-encapsulated device is implied by the datasheet.
