TVS clamp for 100V bus protection
The 1.5SMC120AHM3/H: AEC-Q101 qualification means it is screened for automotive-grade reliability — under-hood or body electronics where the bus sees load-dump and ISO 7637-2 pulses. Breakdown occurs at 114V minimum, clamping at 165V maximum at the 9.1A peak-pulse current (10/1000µs waveform). That 165V ceiling keeps downstream 150V-rated MOSFETs and ASICs inside their safe operating area during a surge.
Package and board-fit
DO-214AB (SMC) surface-mount package — the same footprint as standard SMC diodes. The cathode band marks the unidirectional polarity; the single-channel device clamps one rail per package. Operating junction temperature spans -65°C to 150°C, covering the full automotive ambient range with margin for self-heating during repetitive surge events.
