Clamping a 94V rail with 1500W headroom
The 1.5SMC110A-M3/9AT: The reverse standoff voltage of 94V means the diode stays out of the circuit below that level, so it won't leak or clip normal line ripple. That 152V ceiling is what the downstream silicon sees — keep it below the absolute maximum of the powered devices. For shorter pulses (like 8/20µs from an ESD event) the diode can absorb much more peak power, but the 1500W figure is the one to use for mains-coupled or lightning-induced transients. The unidirectional channel means it clamps only one polarity; reverse the part if your rail sits below ground.
DO-214AB SMC package — rework and board-fit
Operating temperature range is -65°C to 150°C junction, so it survives soldering profiles without issue — standard lead-free reflow (260°C peak) is fine. No power line protection means it's not rated for continuous overvoltage; it's a transient clamp, not a regulator.
