The 1.5SMC10CAHE3/57T: It clamps transients at 14.5V maximum, with an 8.55V reverse standoff voltage — sized for 12V nominal automotive power rails where load-dump and inductive kickback events can exceed the battery voltage. The -65°C to 150°C junction temperature range covers under-hood ambient and self-heating during repetitive surge events.
Clamping voltage and let-through energy
The breakdown voltage window starts at 9.5V minimum, ensuring the diode begins conducting before the protected circuit's absolute maximum rating is reached. At the 103A peak pulse current, clamping is held to 14.5V — this is the voltage the downstream components see during the surge.
