Peak pulse power and protection window
The 1.5KE7.5CA-E3/54: Its breakdown voltage range starts at 7.13 V minimum, and the clamping voltage at the 133 A peak pulse current (10/1000 µs waveform) is 11.3 V maximum — that 4.2 V window between breakdown and clamp defines how much overvoltage the downstream circuitry sees during a surge event. That saves a rework step if the silkscreen is ambiguous.
Field-service and board-fit reality
Through-hole DO-201AA (DO-27) axial package — this is a part you can swap on site with a standard soldering iron and a solder sucker. No hot-air station, no preheater. The 0.9 mm lead diameter fits standard 1.0 mm plated-through holes; the body length is about 7.5 mm, so it stands off the board enough to get the iron tip under it for desoldering. The 1500 W rating is specified at 25°C; derate linearly above that per the datasheet curve, but the wide temp margin means most industrial environments stay well within the flat portion.
The Tape & Reel (TR) and Cut Tape (CT) packaging options cover both volume production and prototype or repair quantities.
