1.5 kW bidirectional transient suppressor for 58 V rails
The 1.5KE68CA-E3/73: It clamps transients at 92 V maximum while conducting 16.3 A peak pulse current, making it a fit for protecting 48 V to 58 V DC rails in industrial and telecom power supplies.
Clamp voltage and standoff margin
The reverse standoff voltage is 58.1 V typical — the rail should never exceed this under normal operation. Breakdown occurs at 64.6 V minimum, and the clamping voltage is held to 92 V at the rated 16.3 A peak pulse. This 33.9 V clamp-to-breakdown window means the downstream components see a hard voltage ceiling during a surge event, not a soft foldback. The DO-201AA axial package (DO-27 equivalent) mounts through-hole — the leaded body dissipates pulse energy into the board copper without a heatsink.
Active production, sourced to BOM
The Tape & Box packaging (73 per ammo pack) suits automated insertion for medium-volume builds.
