The reverse standoff voltage is 43.6 V — this is the DC or peak-AC voltage the protected line can carry without the diode conducting. At 48.5 V minimum breakdown the device starts to avalanche, and clamping is guaranteed at 70.1 V maximum, so a 48 V bus or a 42 V nominal rail with transients up to 70 V is the intended operating envelope. The 1.5 kW rating is derated linearly above 25°C per the datasheet curve.
