Product details

1500 W surge clamp for 40 V rails

The 1.5KE47CA/54: With a 40.2 V reverse standoff voltage and a minimum breakdown of 44.7 V, this part sits on 36–48 V rails where the normal operating voltage stays below the standoff threshold and the TVS remains invisible until a transient pushes past the breakdown knee. The 23.1 A peak pulse current rating at the standard 10/1000 µs test waveform gives a direct read on the surge it can absorb — a 1500 W device at 64.8 V clamping voltage works out to that current by design.

Obsolete — sourcing through independent channels

Available through independent distribution as new-old-stock or surplus inventory. For a BOM that already carries this part number, the supply posture is quoted-to-order through the broker channel — the buyer confirms the quantity and we locate the material from franchised excess or independent surplus.

Bidirectional, axial-leaded, wide-temp

Rated for junction temperatures from -55°C to 175°C, the part covers industrial and military ambient ranges — the 175°C TJ max gives headroom in sealed enclosures or near hot components.

Frequently asked questions

Is the 1.5KE47CA/54 unidirectional or bidirectional?

Bidirectional — a single device clamps transients of either polarity, suitable for AC or bipolar DC protection.
