Active AEC-Q101 TVS for 36V automotive rails
The 1.5KE43CAHE3_A/C: It is qualified to AEC-Q101, the automotive discrete semiconductor reliability standard, which means PPAP documentation is available for OEM-level submissions — capable is not qualified, and this part carries the grade.
Clamping window and pulse current
The device clamps at 59.3V maximum with a 25.3A peak pulse current, protecting a 36.8V reverse standoff rail. The minimum breakdown voltage is 40.9V, so the protection window opens cleanly above the nominal rail voltage without nuisance triggering on normal transients. A single bidirectional channel handles both positive and negative surges, which simplifies layout for AC-coupled lines or bipolar supplies where polarity is not fixed. The 1500W rating at 10/1000µs is the standard automotive surge waveform for load-dump and inductive kickback.
DO-201AA axial package and temperature range
The DO-201AA (DO-27) axial through-hole package is a standard TVS footprint that mates with existing PCB layouts and supports wave-solder or hand-solder assembly. Tape and Reel packaging is specified for automated pick-and-place in volume production. The AEC-Q101 qualification includes temperature cycling and high-temperature reverse bias stress testing.
