1.5kW bidirectional TVS for 36.8V rails
The 1.5KE43CA-E3/73: The 36.8V reverse standoff voltage sits just below the breakdown minimum of 40.9V, meaning it stays out of the way during normal operation and only starts conducting when the line goes above that threshold.
The clamping number that matters
At 25.3A peak pulse current the voltage is clamped to 59.3V max — that is the worst-case voltage the downstream silicon sees during a surge event. For a 48V bus or a 36V nominal rail, this keeps the let-through below the abs-max of most downstream DC-DC converters and linear regulators. The DO-201AA / DO-27 axial leaded package is a through-hole footprint — it dissipates heat into the PCB traces better than a surface-mount equivalent at the same power level, which matters when the 1.5kW pulse is absorbed across the die.
Active production — sourced to order
This is a standard catalog TVS that has been in continuous production for years.
