Package and field-swap reality
Through-hole DO-201AA (DO-27) axial package — the leads are long enough to bend into existing PCB holes without a special fixture. Polarity is irrelevant here because it is bidirectional: the single die handles both polarities, so you cannot install it backwards. On a field repair, a standard soldering iron and a solder sucker are enough to swap it; no hot-air station needed.
