Its 49.9V maximum clamping voltage at 30.1A peak pulse current (10/1000µs waveform) means it holds a 36V bus safe during a surge without letting the spike exceed the downstream device's breakdown margin.

Through-hole DO-201AA (DO-27) axial package — the leads are 0.96 mm diameter, fitting standard 1.0 mm PCB holes. The body is 9.1 mm long, so it stands off the board about 2.5 mm when fully seated. Tape & Box packaging (73 per ammo box) keeps the leads aligned for auto-insertion.

The wide margin means derating for high ambient is minimal; at 125°C the device still handles roughly 75% of its 1500W peak pulse rating.
