When a transient exceeds the breakdown threshold, the device clamps at 34.7V maximum, limiting the voltage seen by downstream components to this level during the pulse. The 43.2A peak pulse current rating (10/1000 µs) defines the surge capability: a 24V nominal automotive rail sees the TVS absorb transients up to this current without exceeding the clamping voltage. The DO-201AA axial package (DO-27 equivalent) mounts through-hole, suited for point-of-protection placement on PCB or terminal block wiring.
