1.5 kW TransZorb for 154 V rails
The 1.5KE180A-E3/54: With a 154 V reverse standoff voltage (working voltage), it clamps transients at 246 V maximum while conducting 6.1 A peak pulse current. The 171 V minimum breakdown voltage means the device starts conducting before the protected circuit's absolute maximum is reached.
Voltage protection and temperature envelope
At 175°C the leakage current rises, but the clamping voltage and peak pulse power derate per the datasheet curve.
Package and board integration
Supplied in a DO-201AA (DO-27) axial-lead package for through-hole mounting — the large copper body and lead diameter handle the thermal pulse of a 1.5 kW surge without lifting the trace. Available on tape and reel (TR) or cut tape (CT) — the -/54 suffix identifies the lead-free, RoHS-compliant finish in the tape-and-reel quantity. The base product number is 1.5KE180.
Sourcing and compliance posture
Marked as general-purpose application and not rated for power-line protection (no internal series gap or enhanced creepage). Intended for DC bus, signal line, and low-voltage AC transient suppression.
