Where the ratings matter for fit
The 244V clamping voltage at 6.1A sets the maximum transient voltage the downstream circuitry sees — any load rated below 244V peak needs additional protection or margin. The 138V standoff means the diode does not leak appreciably below that DC bus voltage, so it can sit across a 120V rail without conducting.
