1500W peak pulse, 207V clamp — TransZorb® TVS diode for general-purpose rail protection
The 1.5KE150A-E3/73: The Vishay 1.5KE150A-/73 is a 1500W (1.5kW) peak pulse power TransZorb® TVS diode in a through-hole DO-201AA axial package.
Clamp voltage and surge current — what the ratings mean for the BOM
A downstream rail rated for 200 V continuous may still survive a 207 V clamp transient, but a 150 V-rated capacitor would need a higher-voltage part or a second-stage clamp. For a 120 VAC nominal rail (peak ~170 V), this part would conduct continuously — it is designed for a 100–110 VDC bus or a 90 VAC RMS line with margin. The 1500W peak pulse rating at 10/1000 µs means it can absorb a single 1.5 kW surge without failure — derate for repetitive events or higher ambient temperature.
Active production — sourcing posture for the BOM line
The DO-201AA axial package is a standard through-hole form factor, compatible with wave-solder and hand-solder assembly.
