The 1.5KE13A-E3/1: Vishay has marked the 1.5KE13A-/1 as obsolete. For an existing design that already uses this part number, the only supply path is through independent distribution — we source it against an RFQ from surplus and broker channels.
Clamping performance — the numbers that matter
This is a 1500 W peak pulse power TVS diode built on a Zener junction, part of Vishay's TransZorb® series. The reverse standoff voltage is 11.1 V — the DC rail or signal line it protects must stay below this level during normal operation. When a transient exceeds the minimum breakdown voltage of 12.4 V, the diode clamps the surge to a maximum of 18.2 V while shunting up to 82.4 A of peak pulse current under the standard 10/1000 µs waveform. That 18.2 V clamp is the ceiling the downstream circuitry must survive.
Housed in a DO-201AA / DO-27 axial-lead package with through-hole mounting, the 1.5KE13A-/1 is a traditional leaded part — it solders into a board or clips into a socket. The operating junction temperature range spans -55°C to 175°C, covering industrial and military-grade environments. It is a single unidirectional channel, so it protects one polarity rail per device.
