AEC-Q101 qualified transient suppressor for 12/24 V automotive buses
The 1.5KE130AHE3_A/D: Its 111 V reverse standoff voltage and 124 V minimum breakdown voltage place it on a 90-110 V DC bus or a 48-72 V AC line — common in EV auxiliary systems, battery-management sense circuits, and industrial 48 V supplies. The single unidirectional channel clamps a transient to 179 V maximum at 8.4 A peak pulse current (10/1000 µs waveform), which means a 1500 W pulse from a load-dump or inductive kick is absorbed without exceeding the junction's 175 °C limit.
Qualification grade and temperature envelope
The -55 °C to 175 °C operating junction range covers under-hood and auxiliary compartments, including the 150 °C hot-spot requirement for grade-0 applications. The TransZorb® construction uses a planar passivated die in a DO-201AA (DO-27) axial-lead package. The through-hole body handles the 1.5 kW pulse without the thermal resistance penalty of a small SMD package — the lead-to-ambient path carries heat away during repetitive surges.
