TransZorb® TVS — 1.5 kW peak pulse, 9.4 V standoff
The 1.5KE11A-E3/73: It clamps a transient at 15.6 V maximum while the reverse standoff voltage sits at 9.4 V — the rail stays protected without conducting during normal 9 V or 12 V bus operation. Breakdown occurs at 10.5 V minimum, so the device starts clamping just above the 9.4 V standoff level. The 96.2 A peak pulse current rating at the 10/1000 µs test condition gives a solid margin for industrial surge events on a 12 V supply rail.
Package and board-fit — DO-201AA axial
Housed in a DO-201AA (DO-27) axial-lead package, the 1.5KE11A-/73 mounts through hole. The axial body sits inline with the leads, making it a straightforward hand-insert or wave-solder fit for power-entry or I/O protection on a PCB. The Tape & Box packaging suits low-to-medium volume builds where reel-fed automation is not required.
The base product number 1.5KE11 covers the whole family; the -/73 suffix denotes the lead-free finish and Tape & Box packaging variant.
