Clamping performance and pulse current capability
The 1.5KE10CAHE3_A/C: With a breakdown voltage of 9.5V minimum and a clamping voltage of 14.5V at 103A peak pulse current (10/1000µs), this diode absorbs a 1500W surge without exceeding the clamp ceiling. The 103A peak current rating is the current that flows through the diode during the clamping event — the downstream circuit sees only the 14.5V clamp, not the transient peak. No separate polarity orientation is needed during insertion.
Housed in a DO-201AA (DO-27) axial-lead through-hole package, the 1.5KE10CAHE3_A/C mounts into a 1.1mm diameter hole on a standard PCB or terminal block. The axial leads allow manual or wave-solder assembly; the body is rated for the full 175°C junction temperature without derating the lead solder joint.
