Active production — no BOM risk
The 1.5KE10A-E3/73: Vishay lists the 1.5KE10A-/73 as Active, so there is no end-of-life clock on this part for current designs. Sourced through authorized and independent distribution; availability and pricing confirmed at RFQ.
What the ratings mean for the board
This is a TransZorb® TVS diode — a Zener-type transient suppressor, not a voltage-reference diode. Its job is to clamp fast overvoltage spikes before they reach the downstream silicon. The reverse standoff voltage is 8.55V — this is the DC bias the diode can sit across without conducting leakage. It suits 5V or 3.3V rails with margin, or a 12V rail where the nominal is well below the standoff.
Through-hole package and temperature range
Housed in a DO-201AA / DO-27 axial leaded package — through-hole, easy to hand-replace, and the leads absorb some mechanical strain during board flex.
